I’m back from Nepal! A little busy with work, so detailed updates will have to wait. First and foremost, I’d like to thank my new trekking boots. Columbia Titanium. They worked really well on the snowy, icy trails. The Vibram soles gave me good grip on both snow and rock. Didn’t have much problems on “rough” icy either. In deeper snow, maybe gaiters would have worked well, but I didn’t bring any on this trip.
As far as insulation goes, my toes hardly ever felt frozen. I’d definitely choose the Titanium boot over the Bugaboot.
