There are incredible views of Rakaposhi 7788m from the cockpit. Although it’s merely the 27th highest mountain in the world in terms of its summit from sea level, Rakaposhi is actually the tallest mountain in the world from base camp (only 3500m) to summit. Most 8000m peaks have base camps well above 5000m. There is a lot more to climb from base camp if you attempt this mountain.
Never try to land in the Himalayas when it’s cloudy! A very friendly pilot with excellent command of English. Pakistan is extremely diverse with all kinds of people from the extremely nice (huge majority) to the extremely nasty (tiny minority). Yep, this looks even scarier than Lukla.
