Bhutan, a materially challenged country that boasts of a high GNH Gross National Happiness. How real is this happy country? This documentary does not promote the illusion that Bhutan is Shangrila. It zooms in on Bhutan’s treacherous roads which are supposed to be international highways.
This documentary takes a remarkably objective view but ultimately concludes that in spite of all the shortcomings, Bhutan is still a happy country. If only our own people can look beyond the pain and suffering that are unavoidable in life at any level of prosperity.
